How Travel Trailer / RV Transport works

1 Step

Compare Rates & Book
A Company You Liked

Transportation of travel trailers and RVs requires special attention and extra professionalism. And that is exactly what our top carrier companies are characterized by.

When requesting a quote for such vehicles shipping, we advise you to note down the addresses, estimated or exact size of the vehicle, and whether it’s motorized or not, as it affects the type of trailer required for the transportation.

2 Step

Prepare Your Travel Trailer/
RV & Provide It To A Driver

After the shipping agent negotiates the pick-up date both with you and the driver you need to get your RV prepared. Please secure all loose parts, remove plates, tags and passes, and make sure to clean your vehicle.

The driver will inspect it for any damages and, if any, note them down in the Condition report. We also advise you to take some photos of the vehicle, just in case.

3 Step

Receive Your Vehicle
Safe & Sound

Before delivering your RV to your address, a dispatcher or the driver himself will call you a day before and negotiate the exact time. When the driver drops off the vehicle, make sure to thoroughly expect it and note down the damages if any.

In such case, your shipping company will help you submit a claim to the insurance company and you will receive a check within a couple of weeks.

We’ve got some answers to the questions you may have. In case you haven’t found the proper solution, don’t hesitate to contact us.

Is it possible to transport the RV if it’s inoperable?

Yes, it’s possible to transport the inoperable RV, but the condition of the vehicle will affect the price a lot.

Can I leave my personal items in my travel trailer?

Some carriers do not mind if you ship your personal items in a Travel trailer. But you need to remember that personal items, as well as the passenger compartment, are not insured by the carrier's coverage. So in case something gets damaged inside the vehicle, you will not receive the reimbursement.

Can I have my vehicle shipped on a trailer?

Yes, some types of small or mid-sized trailers can be shipped on the trailer. We advise you to provide your shipping agent with the trailer name and dimensions and he will advise you on the best shipping option.

Can the driver pick up the vehicle if I’m not at the pick up address?

Sure, that can be negotiated as long as there is someone who can pass the keys and release the vehicle to the driver. You may ask your friend, relative, colleague, or neighbor.

Do you request any special documents for shipping my RV?

When shipping the RV or travel trailer within the mainland, no special documents are required unless the vehicle is going from an auction or a dealership. In this case, the driver will need a buyer and lot number, VIN number, or the release form for Manheim.

Can I ship 2 trailers simultaneously?

If you are shipping small trailers like Toy Haulers, Light weights, Popup campers, the carrier company can ship 2-3 vehicles at a time. Unfortunately, large trailers take lots of space on the trailer, and usually, there is no place left for another vehicle.
