How Snowmobile Transport Works

1 Step

Compare Rates & Book A Company You Liked

Snowmobile shipping is very similar to the motorcycle shipping process, but still, there are some differences.

When you request a quote, provide your pick-up and delivery zip codes, contact details, and vehicle details (year, make, and model of the snowmobile).

2 Step

Prepare Your Snowmobile &
Provide It To A Driver

When you sign the papers, book the spot and receive the driver’s details, it’s high time to get your snowmobile ready for shipping.

First of all make sure there are no personal items inside the vehicle (unless you plan to ship them), remove all passes, tags, and plates, and clean your snowmobile. Once the driver arrives, give him the keys to the vehicle and sign the Bill of Lading after the driver checks the snowmobile for any damages.

3 Step

Receive Your Snowmobile
Safe & Sound

Pay the driver when you receive your vehicle at the delivery location and don't forget to inspect the snowmobile for any new damages.

If something catches your eye, note it in the Bill of Lading and get in touch with the shipping company. Your shipping manager will help you submit a claim to the carrier's insurance company.

We’ve got some answers to the questions you may have. In case you haven’t find the proper solution, don’t hesitate to contact us

How much does it cost to ship a snowmobile?

Several factors influence snowmobile shipping costs, including distance from the pick-up point to destination, vehicle size and type, time of the year, the type of terrain encountered, and more. Fill out our form and receive the best shipping options.

How can I be certain that the driver is covered by insurance?

All of the carriers we use have an amount of experience and are fully insured. But you can also ask the driver to provide you with his MC number and check the insurance details on the FMCSA website.

When should the shipment be scheduled in advance?

A 2-3 weeks prior to the shipping dates that are available is the ideal time to make the transportation reservations. But you can request and start planning for the shipment as soon as you know the addresses for pick up and drop off and the vehicle you will ship (in case you are planning to buy it).

What if the driver is running late for the pick-up and I have a flight?

Because drivers occasionally experience delays due to delays at other pick-up locations, unforeseen weather conditions, or traffic jams, we advise you to negotiate the pick-up date at least one day prior to your flight. In case it happens, you can leave the snowmobile to your friend, relative, colleague, or neighbor who can release it to the driver.

What if I noticed the damage a few days after delivery?

We advise you to try and submit a claim to the insurance company, but usually, if the damage wasn’t noted in the Bill of lading at the time of the drop-off, the claim is rejected. That is why we strongly recommend checking the vehicles thoroughly when they are delivered.

When requesting a quote, does the shipment weight matter?

The dimensions and the weight of the vehicle matter a lot as it affects the price and type of the trailer that is required for snowmobile shipping.
